About.
Amazanga is a nature sanctuary in the rainforest of Ecuador in the province of Napo. It is a place of connection with and learning from nature. We dedicate our hearts and efforts to the conservation of traditional knowledge, local native comunities (kichwa) and the rainforest itself. The main purpose of Amazanga (which in kichwa mythology is the jaguar-spirit that protects the jungle) is to restore balance and harmony of human beings within ourselves and with everything surrounding us. We built this place to preserve, recover, and practice the ancient wisdom of the Amazon which goes hand in hand with supporting native peoples and protecting the ecosystem.
