WHAT TO BRING - Please bring slippers or heavy socks to wear inside the nest & leave your street shoes at the door. A flashlight (we don't have street lights here and evening walks can be dark). If you want to go to the beach or sunbathe, please bring your beach towel. Always bring warm clothing for cool evenings, even when the days are hot.
SEPTIC/WATER MINDFULNESS - We are on septic system. Please be mindful of water usage for showers & flushing. Please don't throw anything down the toilet except toilet paper. Please use the propane fireplace mindfully & shut propane heater before getting into bed and when leaving the NEST, even for short trips.
We are in a HIGH FIRE AREA bordering open space. Please NO SMOKING of any kind on the property, and no candles or open flames.
Shoes off at the door keeps the NEST free from one of the main sources of indoor pollution (your shoes).
The NEST is very private. With windows & doors on 3 sides, a huge deck & private balcony you'll fell like you're in your own shangri-la tree house. The NEST is connected to our home, and you may hear occasional pitter patter of little dog feet or people moving about, and an occasional dog bark.
We live in a QUIET village in the forest. If you're looking for a relaxing time in a quiet & serene space, book with us. If you're looking for a place to play loud music & party, we're not your place.
We NO LONGER have a kitchen so there is NO COOKING in the NEST.
