About.
Kalani Honua means harmony of heaven and earth.
We manifest this vision through our mission to inspire new ways of being in the world by living simply, learning joyfully, experiencing community, and honoring the land.
Kalani Honua is an educational, nonprofit organization that celebrates nature, culture and wellness on the beautiful and lush Puna coast of Hawaii's Big Island. Our lush, 120 acre campus is bordered by tropical jungle and the Pacific Ocean and is just miles from active lava flow. With the world's cleanest air and darkest night skies, we experience deep connections with nature and the transformative energy of the island.
Kalani offers an array of experiences from short-term vacations or sabbaticals to long-term work trades and paid employment opportunities.
Kalani also boasts rejuvenating bodywork treatments, recreational facilities (pool, gym, hot tub), educational adventures and 40+ workshops in yoga, Hawaiian culture, art and dance each week that provide our guests with fun and transformative experiences, and the tools they need to find and promote their higher selves.
Our experienced staff, assisted by resident volunteers, dedicate time, energy and care to all our guests. Our kitchen offers mindful and locally-sourced cuisine, with vegan-friendly options at each meal. Our comfortable accommodations fit every budget.
Transformation awaits you at Kalani Honua.
