Finca Morpho

We are looking for certified massage therapists/healers to come and share their healing practices with us.

The expectations for this work trade are as follows;
1. Three 60 minute massages a week.
2. Kitchen shifts each week.
3. Monday morning communal maintenance and general MOOPing.
4. Trash Tuesday
5. Communal meeting and Listening Circle
6. Following the farm agreements.
7. One review/blog post on your stay at the Finca.

Accommodations include a shared dormitory style bed or private tent (tent provided with mattress), composting toilets, showers, laundry, as well as mostly organic and local food. *$100 deposit required for tent/bed/bedding.

3 meals a day are prepared Monday - Saturday by onsite chef in our community kitchen. Sunday meals are prepared by the community with shift sign ups during community season. Food provided but not prepared during introspective season.

This is a work trade for the introspective season of September to February. Below is a link to a list of projects the farm needs to complete. This application must be accompanied by a resume that shows your ability to finish your chosen project from the list.

Introspective season has little to no community events or meals. Food is provided but most often not prepared. This season is perfect for introspection, book reading, longs walks on the beach, and tons of personal time for recharging and re-connection with yourself and nature. You can take on a project you have the skills to complete or offer assistance to other doing the projects

These positions are shadows for our core positions of kitchen, hospitality, projects, and relationships. You will choose one section to shadow with during your stay at the farm.

1. 15 hours weekly shadowing

We are looking for a motivated person with social media experience, graphic design, and/or video skills to continue our online presence.

The expectations for this work trade are as followed;
1. 2 minutes of video weekly
2. 3x weekly facebook post
3. 5 weekly instragram posts
4. One weekly blog post
5. Monday morning communal maintenance and general MOOPing.
6. Trash Tuesday
7. Communal meeting and Listening Circle
8. Following the farm agreements.
9. One review/blog post on your stay at the Finca.

6. One review/blog post on your stay at the Finca.

Accommodations include, a shared dormitory style bed or private tent (tent provided with mattress), composting toilets, showers, laundry, as well as mostly organic and local food. Breakfast and lunch are prepared Monday - Saturday. All other food is provided for the remaining meals.

Finca Morpho welcomes many people, dogs, horses, kittens, and other creatures through their purple gated portal when their lives are in a state of distress and need sanctuary.

Ticon and Devon are the kind and generous souls who make sure the farm always has room for someone in need. They have done this from their own hearts and pocketbook for many years, not charging those brought by circumstance while providing the space, food and compassion for these individuals to ground, breathe, rest, and reconnect with their purpose before moving onward with their life.

As the farm's paid, volunteer, and partial work trade roles have evolved to support the goals of regenerativity, education, health and well-being, freedom, happiness and peace, we find our farm owners often covering extensive additional expenses beyond what is appropriate to add into the cost of our stays and services.

This purchase covers the costs for one person to stay at the farm for 2 weeks, with a bed in a shared space or a provided tent and sleeping mat plus meals and access to a range of resources and activities available on-site.

It is important to our permaculture community members that the experience we provide be open to those from oppressed or otherwise impoverished or disadvantaged people, which may include those of the 4-legged, winged, or furry forms!

Occasionally funds from this scholarship may also be used for veterinary services or other support needs for rescued animals that are occasionally brought to Finca Morpho for care. We believe that all lives are precious, and the animal kingdom with whom we share the planet is also an intricate part of our social ecosystem.
