Gaia Ashram is a community based education center on Permaculture, Deep Ecology and Ecovillage Design Education and other sustainable living practices. Gaia Ashram is the base for Gaia School Asia and one of the operational centers of NextGEN Oceania & Asia and we provide trainings/workshops/courses for children, international and Asian youth.

Type of Stays:

We offer different stays and depending on the type of stay the price varies. We offer volunteer stays for 4 dollars per day and we ask volunteers to stay a minimum of two weeks.

We have stays for groups students/ children and we can organize educational sustainable living programs for them for about 9 dollars a day per person.

Then we offer different courses on topics of Permaculture, Ecovillage Design and Deep Ecology. Most courses are in English. The prices vary.

Accommodation:

These stays all include accommodation which is dormitory. We also have a family house that can be rented or private rooms available for an extra charge.

Food:

Vegetarian and vegan food. As we are also a community we prepare our meals together and at times we have a local cook to come and cook for us.

Other Activities depend on the type of stay.

Volunteers help 5 hours a day on the land and with natural building. Experience living on the land in community growing food and building structures. We also provide educational presentations and workshops around different topics that volunteers can join.

Course Participants will learn theory and practice around Deep Ecology, Permaculture or Deep Ecology. At Gaia Ashram we value holistic participatory learning and we combine the learning through the head, heart and hands.
