"Alter Natos" is a project of Otros Mundos AC / Friends of the Earth Mexico, a Civil Association born 10 years ago in San Cristóbal de las Casas, in the State of Chiapas, southeast Mexico. organizations to defend the collective rights of peoples, land, and territories, food sovereignty and health, to the depredation of the capitalist system that results in the multiplication of extractive megaprojects such as mines, dams, and monocultures.

Located in the southern mountains of San Cristobal de las Casas (Mexico), the center "Alter Natos" aims to be a space for learning and collective exchange built in harmony with the environment with natural materials and ecotechnologies, where we promote the search for internships ecological problems before the socio-environmental problems of cities as a different way of relating to the model of logging, mining, watershed management and waste that has so many socio-environmental consequences.
