Eco-Experience
When you are looking for new things to do in Israel such as a journey close to nature in a unique desert environment, to work with ecological pioneers, to contribute to a place living sustainably, and to spend time living in a close-knit community within a kibbutz framework, then the Eco-Experience could be just what you are looking for.
The Eco-Experience on Kibbutz Lotan offers you a hands-on opportunity to work with the staff of the Center for Creative Ecology, building natural earth structures, developing sustainable architecture, planting and harvesting in the organic garden, experiencing permaculture gardening, maintaining the educational Eco-Park, and living in the Eco-Campus. Come for just one week, or stay as long as you choose.
Kibbutz Lotan’s Center for Creative Ecology (CfCE) is situated in Israel’s southern Arava desert. Participants on the Eco-Experience live in the Eco-Campus, a prototype neighbourhood for sustainable living comprising earth-plastered geodesic domes, eco houses and incorporating appropriate technologies such as composting toilets, solar ovens and bio-gas system.
