The focus of the house is on creating an environment that is peaceful, calm, and nurturing, where people can enjoy their time reading, writing, meditating, enjoying the beautiful view of the fields, lakes, and bird sanctuary beyond, or doing whatever else it is that makes you feel content and connected.

The center is located in a quiet rural area, yet is is only a short 25 minute drive from Hamburg centre, making it ideal for guests who are looking for a relaxing stay in a peaceful location, but don't want to travel far in order to be well connected.

Feel at home:
Enjoy pleasant meals with the group and the exchange with like-minded people. Meet people from around the world. Each year, the house hosts guests from Germany, Europe, and 50+ countries. Make friends with the cats of the house. Together, let us create a space where depth, cordiality and mental clarity prevail.

A large meditation room with a fireplace, a cozy, well-equipped kitchen and an idyllic garden with terrace and garden pond invite you to pause and dwell.
The small library of spiritual books is another great place to lounge and retreat in the house.

A beautiful surrounding:
Adjacent to the property is a nature sanctuary for birds. Bird watchers love this places because it offers a great view of meadows and the lake with a large variety of birds to be seen from the house and garden. The following birds can be watched regularly (but depending on the season): White-tailed eagles, bussards, red kites, hawks, kestrels, marsh harriers, common ravens, cranes, many species of geese, ducks and herons, storks, pheasants, kingfishers, bats and many garden birds.

Hoisdorf is a small village in the outskirts of Hamburg. The house is located in close distance to a number of lakes. Some of them have nice beaches and are great locations for swimming in summer.

The area is perfectly suited for hiking and biking. Meadows, fields, forests and lakes can be found all around. Several cafés and restaurants - some of them with great views over the lakes - will make your excursions additionally enjoyable.
