About.
Tierramor is an evolving research center and community currently in its initial stages of development on 120 hectares of incredible land in Nosara, Costa Rica. Tierramor aims to be a meeting point for anyone who wishes to explore the dark and the light. Tierramor will host regular workshops, retreats and events, and will attract permaculturists, spiritual seekers, and purposeful wanderers from around the world. We are here to find harmony—with ourselves and with the earth. A physical and spiritual container for discovery and growth, the Tierramor community is an evolving playground from which a new culture and a more beautiful world might emerge.
The central anchor of Tierramor will be its Temple. Temple spaces will host yoga, tantra, dance, conscious sexuality, and exploration of the personality, as well as meditation and silent retreats. Other key aspects of the project include a large retreat center with accommodation and communal areas, a permaculture research center, as well as community housing.
While we will only be breaking ground on some of the long-term infrastructure and buildings in 2023, we are currently building out what will be the first phase of the project. We are looking for volunteers with pioneering spirits, who are excited about being part of the creation of this space.
We will host our first retreat in late November 2021 and plan to run a series of workshops through April 2022. Currently, we are developing relatively simple infrastructure which is simultaneously basic and well-designed.
We have a number of work-trade and volunteer opportunities opening up for enthusiastic and talented people who are interested in being part of the project and community and helping us build the first phase. Volunteer opportunities will open up from early December 2021.
We have two types of opportunities available at the moment: point-holder and collaborators. Point holder opportunities are for people with specific skills who are keen to take on distinct responsibilities within the project and wish to commit a minimum of three months to the project. Collaborator opportunities are open for people who are excited to be involved in the project, but are keen to take on less specific responsibility than those in the point-holder roles, and wish to stay for a shorter time.
