About.
A new community, Dos Palmas is forming near the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The initial members of this community bring vast experience from living in intentional communities around the globe, Auroville, the kibbutzim in Israel, Twin Oaks community, East Wind community, Ganas, Cambia, and Living Energy Farm.
The goal of this community is to develop a prototype “smart village” that has adopted the best practices from other conscious and intentional communities. Dos Palmas will focus on ecological sustainability, interpersonal dynamics and an inclusive culture. Our assumptions are that personal growth contributes to healthy members; healthy members support a healthy community; and a healthy community is well suited to contribute to a healthy planet. We want to help cultivate individuals’ passions, growth, and communication skills. All of this is supported by diversity—ecological diversity, cultural diversity, and encouraging individual personal expression.
