DAY 1:
Topic: CoEvolution and Interdependence: An Introduction to Herbal Medicine
Description: A review of the global and bioregional history and current world perspective on medicinal plant and mushrooms. Speaking to the critical need for integrated, holistic medicine, that includes traditional, alternative and conventional perspectives.

DAY 2 :

Topic: Herbs and Mushrooms for Vitality: Adaptation & Resilience
Description: How to ethically and affordably incorporate medicinal plants and mushrooms into your daily routine to help cope with the acute and chronic stresses of modern lifestyle.
DAY 3 :
Topic: Nomadic Herbalist: Traveler’s Med Kit & Herbal Bioregional Analogs
Description: Learn which plants and mushrooms are the most important for the traveler to have for a variety of situations, while also addressing the availability of medicines in various ecosystems. Speaking to bioregional flavor and mindful wildcrafting.


Facilitators:

Laura “Lala” Palmieri: 

Working herbalist and educator.

A trained botanist and biologist, Lala’s diverse herbal practice ranges

from community first aid in the Caribbean jungles of Costa Rica and the

mountains of Lake Atitlan and Guatemala City, to relief efforts and first

aid event clinics in Guatemala. Lala has extensive knowledge of tropical

ecology and has been integral in the formation and management of

the Envision and Cosmic Convergence Herbal Clinic.


Sarah Wu: 

Envision Festival co-founder, curator of Educational Experience and Village Witch,

Sarah Wu is a practicing herbalist of 18 years and permaculturist,

working the last ten in Costa Rica. With a foundation in Permaculture, she integrates

Traditional Chinese Medicine with Wise Women Western Herbalism,

working with a diverse planetary apothecary she is passionate about empowering people

to practice herbalism at home, in their communities and around the globe.

How to get to the festival from Guate city

Desde el aeropuerto GUA: We highly recommend to utilize our Cosmic Transport shuttle service to bring you directly to the festival. To get more information about this service write to: hospitality@cosmicconvergencefestival.org

If you find your own way, take a white shuttle from the airport directly to Antigua Guatemala, and find a connecting shuttle at a travel agency to take you to Panajachel or San Pedro la Laguna. From Panajachel or San Pedro, take a boat to Santiago Atitlan.

There are 2 ways:

Via Panamerican Highway to the intersection to Solola and then to Panajachel. Park and take a boat to Santiago Atitlan and Panajachel to continue driving from Santiago ( along the lake ) . Via Highway to the intersection to Retalhuleu, Cocales , San Lucas Toliman to Santiago.

You can take a boat from any of the towns in the lake to Santiago Atitlán.

From Guatemala City or Antigua Guatemala

There are 2 ways:

Via Panamerican Highway to the intersection to Solola and then to Panajachel. Park and take a boat to Santiago Atitlan and Panajachel to continue driving from Santiago ( along the lake ) . Via Highway to the intersection to Retalhuleu, Cocales , San Lucas Toliman to Santiago.

From Lake Atitlán

You can take a boat from any of the towns in the lake to Santiago Atitlán.
