About.
The Permaculture Skills Center is a 5-acre demonstration site and educational institution dedicated to sharing regenerative land development and management practices.
We are located in the Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed just south of Sebastopol, in Sonoma County, California. The site is also the home of our partner organization, Permaculture Artisans. We offer diverse programs for everyone, from those who are interested in home gardening to professional farmers, landscapers and land managers. Some of our offerings include: the Ecological Landscape Mastery Program, Farm School, Open Design Consultation, and Day-long workshops. The Ecological Landscape Mastery program (ELM) at the Permaculture Skills Center is an online professional training program in all aspects of ecological landscape design, installation, and maintenance. We cover all you need to know to build and manage a landscaping firm, vineyard, farm or contracting business. The goal of this program is to train the next generation of professional land managers in the areas of ecological regeneration, business and social equity. We are open to the public, and our onsite farm (RedH Farm) is currently selling produce at our farmstand.
