About.

The VIC is a multipurpose creative center and gathering space surrounded by 2,800 acres of tamed wilderness. We host a variety of programs such as fungi treks, yoga classes, drafthorse rides, bushwhacking lessons, and artist receptions, making it a welcoming space for visitors to enjoy an authentic Adirondack experience.

As a part of Paul Smith's College, we are a community of lifelong learners and educators who believe in the importance of shared knowledge. Overnight lodging is available in college dormitory rooms and suites.

Featured experiences include birding, hiking, paddling, guided treks, hands-on workshops, naturalist programs, butterfly house, art gallery, nature center, gift shop, mindfulness programs, maple sugaring house, and festivals.

The Adirondack Rural Skills and Homesteading Festival is a don't-miss event that celebrates the talents of a bygone era and shares the promise of sustainable methods and technologies. Mark your calendar for this year's September 30th festival!
