About.
Welcome to Heartwood.
Here, you know your neighbors.
Here, you own a share of 361 acres.
Here, you can plant a garden, raise a family, form deep friendships, and find your home.
We invite you to explore the website, and if you are interested, contact us for a visit
or come out for one of our weekly common meals.
We'd love to meet you.
We are a rural cohousing community made up of people of all ages and from all walks of life. In our 24 homes we represent a diversity of ages and family units. Some of our members have been here since the beginning of Heartwood, and some have recently arrived.
We each own our own home and yard and pursue our own interests and livelihood while sharing this beautiful piece of land, a common house, greenhouse, workshop, gardens, and numerous other resources. And most importantly, we share a vision to live in close community with one another.
