Dar Emmima is an authentic old house located in a charming little town named Chebba on the Tunisian coast. The house is 3 km from one of the most beautiful beaches in the country and a peaceful coastal forest.
Dar Emmima, which, in Tunisian dialect, means "my grandmother's house", has been occupied since 2016 by a passionate young permaculturist who opens its doors from time to time to welcome visitors, travelers and trainees who are interested in the permacultural lifestyle and in postmodernity transition, and tries to offer them an integral experience rich in learning, discoveries and conviviality.
We do not have hot shower yet, but we have a traditional hamam very near the house.
we make vegan food, unless we are fasting then we just give access to the kitchen with all needed ingrediants so volunteers can cook themselves.
This winter, we will have a lot of gardening work to reorganise the garden and prepare for spring. we expect the volunteers to work for up to 5 hours a day.
We provide high quality organic vegan food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
visitors have access to bicycles so they can explore the area, they can go to the beach, to the costal forest, or visit the olives trees fields...
