About.

Balenbouche Estate has been described as a magical place, a world in itself, a life changing experience, and a journey back in time. For over 20 years, our secluded 60 acre property has brought people together to reconnect with each other, with nature, and with the spiritual world – but most of all, with themselves. Balenbouche is a popular place for retreats, events, workshops, team building and work exchanges. Past and current events include Art and Photography, Archeology, Culture and History, Sustainable living, and Wellness focusing on Detox, Nutrition, Mind/Body healing, Yoga and Fitness. We can accommodate between 8 and 14 guests in 5 private cottages. We welcome individual travelers, groups, couples and families! Our guest volunteer program and work exchanges are offered from April to December. Balenbouche is located in the South of St. Lucia, 20 min from the UVF International airport and 30 minfrom the town of Soufriere, near many of the islands best attractions.

You can prepare your own meals in one of our self-catering cottages, or take advantage of our delicious daily breakfast or dinner by reservation. A local restaurant is a 5 minute walk away, several other st lucia restaurants as well as a supermarket are a 5-15 minute drive away. A rental car is recommended, but taxis and buses are also available. Whatever your interests, our family will help you make the most of your stay on the island!

Many of our guests feel very much at home here, and keep returning! Start or end your day with an inspiring yoga class, a delicious, wholesome meal, a walk through the grounds, or a swim at our secluded beach. Several times a year, we offer yoga, meditation and mindfulness retreats, and the property is very popular with photographers and artists.
