About.

Set in the stunning valley near by Aljezur in Algarve (West Coast, Portugal), Walnut Tree Farm is an eco-friendly and carbon neutral retreat place that uses the best of the old and new. The property contains of 22 hectars of privacy with a lake, tree house, meditation platforms hanging in the trees and the sky full of stars. Simple yet comfortable rooms with great views to the forest and mountains are situated in beautifully renovated 3 old Portuguese farm houses. The water in our taps comes directly from the mountains, as we have our own water streams at the farm. Also the energy is generated by us and comes from the sun. The houses are build with natural materials and the garden is free from pesticides. All of that creates a perfect escape destination for those who seek for great inspiration and new friendships.

A farmhouse, yurt and tree-house for nature-lovers, outdoorsy types and those looking for a peaceful country escape. Surfers, beach-goers, walkers, mountain-bikers and artists will love it here. Great for families. It is set amongst quiet wooded hills eight minutes’ drive from the small provincial town of Aljezur and fifteen minutes from the beaches of Arrifana, Monte Clerigo and Amoreira. This is a quiet corner of the Algarve, charming, unsppoilt. Beaches are long and empty and renowned for excellent surfing conditions. Restored in 2003 using eco-friendly techniques, the farmhouse (sleeps 8-10), is typical of rural Algarve: whitewashed, rustic and natural. It sits on the side of a hill, looking out over Mediterranean scrub woodland with cork oaks, and to the small valley below with its own streams and swimming lake. There are terraces for sitting and eating outside, and even a yurt (sleeps 4) and tree-house (sleeps 2) which can be rented separately or along with the farmhouse.

We believe that practicing simple living and yoga in the middle of unspoiled nature is a great way to reconnect with yourself. Daily trips to the ocean and surfing classes will complete the experience of joyful life at the Portuguese coast.
