'Vegan hills is the project of Vegoa, a nonprofit organisation focused on the promotion of veganism and sustainability. We have a vegan community in the Algarve, Portugal, living in and with nature in the campo. Members live completely off-grid in low impact housing, such as yurts, camper vans and wooden cabins, spread over 103 hectares. Dwellings are distant enough for privacy and independence, yet close enough for sharing stories and a helping hand. We are a democracy and our members come from a variety of places (UK, D, NL, ES, IT) and backgrounds but we're all united in creating an ecologically-sound environment.
