About.
Las Piedras Amazon Center (LPAC) brings people together for conservation, research and exploration of Peru's virgin Amazon rainforest. We're looking for volunteers to join us on the front-lines of conservation in Peru's Las Piedras watershed, to assist with hospitality, logistics, marketing, administration, permaculture, sustainable business, gardening, forestry, construction and more. LPAC is owned and managed by ARCAmazon, a Peruvian not-for-profit NGO. With the rapid expansion of road networks and deforestation towards Las Piedras, ARCAmazon's goal is to create a corridor of contiguous protected rainforest that will buffer the territories of the Yine, Amahuaca and other unidentified uncontacted tribes in the upper Las Piedras watershed. We need passionate people to bring their talents and assist us in our goal to create a 100,000-hectare conservation and sustainable use rainforest corridor that supports local people while protecting biodiversity and indigenous tribes.
