We are a young family living in Panama for the past 5 years. Laura (36), Luca (11), Mia (8) and myself Emy (36), we also have three cats and two dogs.

Our vision for the future is to design and develop a Permaculture food forest and self-sustainable homestead.

Additionally, we plan on building a small rustic eco-lodge, with a few small huts or cabins.

We are located on the virgin island of Solarte, surrounded by untouched rainforest and right on the Caribbean sea. Volunteers can explore the amazing jungle trails, take a dip in the sea right off our dock, take the kayak to a small nearby reef, go fishing, snorkeling or explore the amazing jungle.

We are located only 5 minutes by boat from the famous Red Frog Beach; or 40 minutes by kayak.

Some of our ongoing projects include:

Various carpentry projects, general gardening and farming, creating raised beds and farming areas, making trails, composting and soil creation amongst other daily tasks.

We are looking for hardworking and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about nature and sustainability.

We are looking for anyone with experience in any of the following skills:

Natural construction, gardening and farming, cloning and grafting, plant identification, food preservation and fermentation, woodworking and timber framing, homesteading,  and more.

At this moment we have a few tents under roof with mattresses and bedding.

Volunteers will have access to hot water for showers and drinking water.

Food is not included, Volunteers will have access to a shared kitchen and refrigerator.
Volunteers will be responsible for cooking their own meals and getting their own groceries.

Free time:

During free time volunteers can enjoy our incredible waterfront location and go swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, etc. The closest beach is only 5 minutes by boat or 40minutes by kayak. We also have many jungle trails to explore. We have a double kayak and a paddle dingy which you can use anytime.

If you require transportation to town or the beach, we can arrange it for you, keep in mind that due to our location, transportation costs can be high. If your intention is to go out often or be close to social entertainment, we may not be the best option for you.
