About.
Children of the Universe is founded in the year of April 2011, with the objective of providing education to the poor and orphan children of remote villages in Nepal. Due to poverty, remote location and lack of support, it is hard to get education and basic human needs for those children.
The aim of Children of the Universe is to provide support to these helpless children with a secure and homelike environment give them the opportunity of a decent education and, in the long term, enable them to become independent and self-supporting. The project is non-political, non-profit and non-religious.
1. We have ongoing construction, and we need volunteers as Volunteer possible. The volunteers can help us with the construction during the day time. In the morning and evening, they can help the children in the home with activities like playing, singing and extra activities.
2. We also have an agriculture garden. We plant some vegetables and it’s organic. So, we need Volunteers for the organic farm too. We can teach our children about the farming. And we can also save some money for the children by having a vegetable garden.
3. What we provide is accommodation which is inside the Children’s home and another place close to the city. They will have food four times daily i.e. Breakfast, Lunch, snacks and dinner. They will have a unlimited drinking tea and coffee according to their wish. There will be internet all the time and hot and cold shower will be available too..
4. Volunteers will have access to Yoga and meditation class.
5. The Volunteers will teach English to the local women. The local women are from the Tibetan families and they run a tea shop and they speak broken English.
6. We will connect volunteers to work with the different Buddhist monasteries and they will teach English lessons to the monks and nuns as well.
7. There are also street dogs problems here in Nepal and working with the street dogs are also duties of the volunteers.
8. Short and long trekking is also included on the Volunteers program. This is according to the volunteer's wish.
9. HOME STAY is also available if the volunteers wants to see the daily life of the Nepali and Tibetan life style.
