About.
“Hava and Adam” is an eco-educational farm located on the outskirts of Modiin. It is a holistic center for growth, which focuses on self-enhancement and the interactions between man and his natural environment.
The farm is completely dependent upon the energy, creative resources, and time of its residents. All members of the farm, including a group of young Israelis on a year of service and international volunteers, share responsibility in running the site and making it their home.
On the farm we put an emphasis on community and communal living. As a large family, we cook together, eat together, and work alongside one another. We also enjoy life together, creating time for music, stories & laughter. The hope is to cultivate a community based on mutual respect and communication, guided by the ideals of compassion, not just for each other but also for the life of the plants, animals, and wildlife surrounding us. As we grow food, we aspire to cultivate the art of communal self-sufficiency and healthy living.
The farm offers guided tours, workshops, events and (professional) courses in Permaculture (PDC), Herbal Medicine, Mud Building, Ecological technical systems, Organic Farming, Greenhouse, Arts & Crafts of recycled materials and more.
Beside this, we provide the following international long term programs:
- Eco-Israel: 5 month Masa program for Jewish youth between the age of 18- 30.
- Internship: 2 month Internship program open for all races and ages.
- Group Hosting: long term group program for youth movements, summer camps, student exchanges etc.
