About.
Asociacion Narú exists to improve the health and wellbeing of Q’eqchi’ Maya families living in rural Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.
Narú works with families living in extreme poverty in a remote mountainous region. In 2017, nearly 700 children from 143 communities were helped out of severe malnutrition while receiving training in its prevention.
We also provide medical care to children suffering a range of malnutrition related health problems, without which they may not survive.
Naru is dedicated to providing education and support to vulnerable families, to empower them to make positive and lasting change in theirs and their children's lives.
Volunteers are needed to help facilitate the ongoing work at the remote community centre in Senahu, as well as online media management at the Antigua based office.
