Cost: $700 per person
Duration: 4 days, 3 nights
Location: Mindo cloudforest
Overview: Our 4-day ayahuasca retreat provides a transformative experience in the pristine Mindo cloudforest, offering a unique opportunity to connect with grandmother medicine in both daytime and nighttime ceremonies. The retreat takes place on an off-grid wilderness compound deep in one of the world's biodiversity hotspots.
## What's Included:
- Transport from Quito/Tumbaco area to Mindo retreat center (we pick up in the Tumbaco/Cumbaya area or north of Quito by Middle of the World)
- Accommodation in a shared, spacious bamboo and wood house with individual mosquito nets
- Vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, and light dinner when appropriate)
- 2 Ayahuasca ceremonies (1 daytime, 1 nighttime) - updated from previous 3 ceremonies
- Rapé/Hapé circles before ceremonies
- Group activities including meditation/bodywork
- Hike to waterfall and swims in a pristine river
- Experienced guidance and facilitation
## Retreat Leaders:
The retreat is led by Paulina Quilla Pakari-Tsunkinua, an Ecuadorian medicine woman with over 25 years of experience working with plant medicines, and Sandra, her partner and assistant. Paulina was adopted by the Shuar nationality and has learned from indigenous traditions across Latin America, including the Shipibo in Peru and the Piaroa in Venezuela. She is also a trained Gestalt therapist specializing in holistic healing approaches.
## Our Approach:
We blend plant medicine, therapy, creativity, and connection to nature while honoring ancestral traditions. We create a safe, inclusive space for personal inquiry, healing, and transformation through:
- Conscious dosing, especially for first-timers
- Experienced facilitation throughout your journey
- Integration of ceremony, nature, therapeutic guidance, and creative practices
- Deep connection to the natural environment
## Important Notes:
1. To reach the retreat space, participants must walk 20 minutes along a dirt path (includes a short steep section). Horses are usually available to help carry packs.
2. Pack light - backpacks or carry-on suitcases are ideal, not large luggage.
3. The retreat space is off-grid with no internet or cellular data, offering a true digital detox.
4. The location is 3 hours from Quito, with the last 40 minutes beyond the town of Mindo.
5. We welcome people of all walks of life, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or sexual orientation.
Experience the healing power of ayahuasca in one of Ecuador's most beautiful natural settings with experienced, compassionate guides.
