The Programs: Leaves and Lizards is best known for our profound Eponocity  equine learning program.

Horses teach us to be authentic with ourselves and within our communities. The special horses at Leaves and Lizards will lead you to a place of peace and understanding. We offer multi-day workshops, riding treks and one day mini-workshops. Workshops are suitable for individuals, couples, corporate groups and families. No riding or horse experience is necessary.

Ranked in the top 1% of places to stay in the world, Leaves and Lizards is a haven for individuals looking for an off the beaten path vacation experience. We offer customized, discrete, concierge services for individuals, families or groups.  If it is time to unplug, re-boot, connect with nature and each other contact us to create your itinerary or join one of our retreats. Our variety of offerings include yoga, photography, equine and adventure retreats or longer sabbaticals.  



Your stay: Comfortable, well equipped cabins, perched on hills, offer a tree house feeling and have spectacular, panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano and surrounding mountains. All lodging options have a similar view of impressive Arenal. Private Deluxe cabins are crafted from nine types of tropical hardwoods, harvested using environmentally responsible methods. The windows have screens. Some options have air conditioning. 

The Meals: The Lava Lizard features farm to table fresh food in an open air dining room with a breathtaking view of Arenal Volcano rise up over the edge of the infinity pool.  Enjoy a tropical cocktail a the Lava Lizard Bar. Wholesome meals prepared with many organic ingredients from the Leaves and Lizards farm. While you eat, enjoy a rainbow of birds visit the feeders just outside the dining area. A truly unique experience!
