About.

Finca La Flor is an ecological project dedicated to the development of sustainable and healthy ways of living.

Our mission is to promote environmental and human consciousness interacting in harmony, connecting with the earth and evolving to a sustainable way of life.

A space to connect with the energy of the mountains, where people feel inspired to share and learn together.

Currently, Finca La Flor is inhabited and managed by an Ecovillage called Comunidad HierbaBuena. There are 6 families living together here at the farm. While you are visiting the farm, you will be another member of our intentional community. We will be happy to welcome you and make you part of our daily routines in the community.

Community Living Experience

Food included
Finca La Flor is inhabited and managed by an Ecovillage called Comunidad HierbaBuena. There are 6 families living together here at the farm. While you are visiting the farm, you will be another member of our intentional community. We will be happy to welcome you and make you part of our daily routines in the community.

We are receiving people that want to come to help us with the daily shores of the farm, and experience community living with us. At this time we are only receiving volunteer applications who are willing to spend at least 3-4 weeks (or more) with us.

COST
The cost for this program is $20 per day with all meals, lodging, and full access to the finca, forests and common areas.

FOOD
Meals are prepared mostly with organic and local products. 100% vegetarian. Being an intentional community, we cook our meals together. As part of the volunteering, you will be required to help us with the kitchen tasks, just like the rest of the community members.

LODGING
Volunteers are lodged at houses on our farm. They are of simple construction, but you are provided with all necessities (bed linens, toilet and hot shower). The houses have multiple rooms and bunks so it is highly likely that you will be sharing the space.

EXPECTATIONS
Volunteers who join us are expected to follow a schedule of 6 work hours per day, 6 days a week in any of the following areas:
Organic agriculture
Infrastructure maintenance
Forests maintenance
Farm animals
Medicinal and ornamental Gardens
Cooking, cleaning and organizing communal areas
Others

We are also open to personal projects and if you have any special skills or interests, we will do our best to take it into account.
