The Durika Biological Reserve or Fundacion Reserva Biologica Durika began as a conservation effort to rehabilitate a small parcel of land devastated by deforestation and erosion from the cattle industry.  Embracing a sustainable way of life we utilize organic gardening techniques, a small hydro-electric turbine for power generation, a caprino project, natural building techniques, banana plantation,  coffee plantation, reforestation, eco-tourism and a volunteer program, guide services. We embracing a humble and quiet way of life and live in harmony with mother nature and all she has to offer.
