ArteSumapaz is a not-for-profit arts and culture center located in the Andes Mountains of Colombia. The organization is focused on several key project areas, most notably artist residencies for international, Colombian, and young artists recently out of the arts education arena; programs for the performing arts; art-park; and more, all based in a harmonious and sustainable fashion on a former coffee plantation of over 268 acres.
ArteSumapaz AIR’s
Residency opportunity in Colombia. There are five ongoing Artists in Residencies (AIRs) at ArteSumapaz in Colombia, from two to four weeks each. The application is available here.
The artists in the ArteSumapaz AIR program are provided space in our hundred-year-old hacienda in which to live and work. The artists-in-residents may contribute to the alternative school by giving workshops, classes, “open crit” sessions (group discussions about the student´s art), or one-on-one discussions.
