- Children under 12 sharing room with adults: $42 per night, maximum 2 per room. Children under 3 and sharing room with adults: free - Additional adults $80 per night, maximum 2 additional persons per room. ------Additional services Transportation and private guide: -Transportation between Horquetas and Rara Avis (15 km or 10 miles) is additional, and it is available by: ---- 1. Tractor cart: it is available for groups (8-14 persons) for $200 each way, divided among passengers traveling. Total time approx. 3.5 hours. ---- 2. Horseback ride, $35 each way per person. You will need to walk the last 3 km (2 miles) through the rainforest. Total time: 2.5 hours on horseback and 1 hour walk. Private naturalist guide service is available uppon request for $75 per day per group, for a minimum of 2 days. Please request this service when you make your reservation. ------Reservation and cancelations: We request a 50% deposit to guarantee reservation. In case of NO-SHOW, DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE. Cancellations received up to 31 days before the arrival date are refundable, less a $25 per person processing fee. Rates are subject to change without notice, except if contracts have been signed or a deposit has been accepted. ------Transfer services San José (downtown)-Horquetas: $95 each way(up to 4 passengers) Puerto Viejo Sarapiquí-Horquetas: $50 each way(up to 4 passengers) Guápiles-Horquetas: $60 each way(up to 4 passengers)
