About.

Inanitah is a consciously created, earth-based spiritual community and transformational living and learning center inspired by the path of freedom and aliveness. Our vision is to raise spiritual and environmental consciousness and create space for individual and collective transformation.

We are situated between fire and water volcanoes, tucked against the hillside of Volcan Maderas on an incredibly biologically diverse 22 acres. Our peaceful natural surroundings are framed by panoramic views of both volcanoes and epic sunsets over the lake. Isla de Ometepe has a rich spiritual ancestry and once served as a sacred Indian burial ground, with evidence of a pre-Mayan civilization. The symbolism present in the many petroglyphs and idols scattered around the island aslo show the possibility of other Native American influences, such as Hopi and Incan.

We began cultivating and building in 2009, and are in the midst of various natural building and permaculture projects, which are heavily supported by our volunteers. We also offer workshops and gatherings throughout the year, alongside our various ongoing activities.

The InaItah community works together with Fundacion InanItah, a registered US based non-profit educational organization, to provide live-in sustainable educational experiences, workshops and classes, as well as social and educational programs for the local Nicaraguan community. We invite our visitors and volunteers to join our community in living, learning, and sharing. At the heart of it all, we wish to empower people to discover and share their natural gifts in cooperative celebration and service.
